UP Health System is pleased to welcome Dr. Chasity C. Caperton to the UPHS – Doctors Park Pediatrics staff.
Dr. Caperton earned her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and completed her residency at the university’s Batson Children’s Hospital. Previously, Dr. Caperton worked as a pediatrician at the Starkville Pediatric Clinic in Starkville, Mississippi.
Working as a medical provider and impacting people’s lives is one of the compelling aspects for Dr. Caperton in her career. Being a mom herself, Dr. Caperton has been inspired to treat her patients with respect and compassion.
“I strive to treat every family, child and parent the way that I would want to be treated in the situation,” Dr. Caperton said. “I do not dismiss ‘silly’ concerns or questions; I believe in a parent’s intuition regarding their child.
“I strive to make every interaction warm and comforting to both the patient and the family, along with educating as appropriate, and strive to provide the best possible care in every situation, educating the parents on the reasoning behind my decisions for such care.”
Pediatric services with UPHS are available to your child from birth through the college years. The pediatric providers at UP Health System will do everything we can to make sure your child is comfortable and receives the best care possible.
UPHS is happy and eager to discuss your child’s health, development, behavior and safety. UPHS will perform a complete physical exam and, if necessary, help arrange specialty consultant care. The Pediatric Specialty Clinic at UPHS – Marquette hosts the region’s top medical specialists in pediatric care for treatment of complex medical issues in pediatric neurology, pediatric orthopedics, pediatric heart & vascular care, and much more.
Dr. Caperton will be practicing at UP Health System – Doctors Park, located at 710 S. Lincoln Rd. Suite 700 in Escanaba. Clinic hours are Monday to Thursday from 8am to 5pm.
