Authorities are searching for two suspects following a report of an attempted abduction in Mackinac County.
A woman says two people tried to abduct her child in Portage Township. She told deputies that a man and woman approached her, saying that they were from out of town and engaged her in a conversation about dogs. They then asked the three-year-old if it wanted to see the dog, before grabbing the child and attempting to drag it into the vehicle. The mother was able to free her kid from their grasp, and the two sped off.
The vehicle is described as an older dull red full-sized pickup.
The man was white with a medium build and mustache. The woman was white, with bleach blonde hair, a medium build, and heavy makeup.
