Bay College launches a new mobile-optimized website on August 29th: www.baycollege.edu.
The newly designed college site is a complete redesign, now including mobile responsiveness for phones and tablets, long scroll pages for added content without additional clicks, social media integration, and enhanced navigation to better inform students and the community about Bay College. The design was based on input from key users including students, parents, businesses, organizations, alumni, donors, event goers, arts enthusiasts, media, and employees.
According to the recent Ruffalo Noel Levitz and OmniUpdate 2018 E-expectations Trend Report, a nationwide survey defining how digital engagement shapes the way high school juniors and seniors choose a college, college websites are the number one influence on high school students’ decision to attend a college or university. This makes relevant web content more important than ever.
The study reveals high school students start by searching available programs of study, then move deeper into college costs, how to apply, and paying for college.
Kim Carne, VP of College Advancement, indicated survey information as well as focus group feedback was critical in structuring the new website. Like any business, Bay College’s website is the 24/7 window of opportunity into our organization. It is a key marketing face of Bay College. When advancing any website, the most important aspect is to know your audience, then organize your content to tell your story, as well as provide relevant information. The site launches August 29th, just in time for the upcoming fall recruitment cycle which starts early September with College Night.
