MDOT is investing about $685,000 to mill and resurface 1 mile of M-95 (Carpenter Avenue) from Woodward Avenue to US-2 in the city of Iron Mountain. The work includes curb repair, upgrading concrete sidewalk ramps to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, and pavement markings. Paving will be completed by mid-September. All work will be completed by Oct. 5. The project is covered by a three-year pavement warranty.

The work will require lane closures with traffic shifts and flag control. A 10-foot lane width restriction will be in effect for this project. This project will result in a smoother driving surface and increased safety, and will extend the lifespan of the roadway. ADA-compliant ramps make sidewalks safer for all users.
