An investigation continues in the Eastern Upper Peninsula after one person was killed in a shooting in Chippewa County.
Local Three News reports that Michigan State Police from the Sault Ste. Marie post responded to a rental cabin in Trout Lake Saturday at about 4 p.m. on a report of a shooting.
One deceased shooting victim was found at the scene. One person was taken into custody.
The Michigan State Police personnel were assisted by Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, Sault Tribal Police, Chippewa Township EMS, detectives from the Sault Ste. Marie and Negaunee MSP posts and the MSP Grayling Forensic Lab.
