Two homes were damaged by fire Monday night on Escanaba’s north side.
Escanaba Public Safety says it was called at just before 6:30 p.m. to come to 921 Sheridan Road. When crews got there, they saw two homes that sit closely together fully-engulfed in flames. They went to work on efforts to save the third home, also closely attached to the other two. and they also were able to save an adjacent garage.
There were no injuries reported, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation. The crews from Escanaba Public Safety, Ford River Township, and Escanaba Townships all battled the three-alarm fire. Crews were on the scene for more than three hours.
