Three subjects have been arraigned in the 94th District Court on felony drug charges stemming from three separate incidents which the Michigan State Police (MSP) Gladstone Post recently investigated.
On 01/03/2025 at approximately 2:00 a.m., troopers from the MSP Gladstone Post made a traffic stop of a vehicle for multiple violations on Stephenson Avenue near 6th Avenue North in Escanaba. The driver was identified as a 44-year-old woman from Escanaba, Michigan. Subsequent investigation resulted in the troopers locating suspected methamphetamine. Troopers arrested Jennifer Verbrigghe for possession of methamphetamine and lodged her in the Delta County Jail.
On 01/04/2025 at approximately 2:26 a.m., troopers from the Gladstone Post checked on a woman who was walking in the cold weather conditions along US-2 Highway near K. 5 Road in Wells Township. The troopers observed the woman to appear to be intoxicated. The following investigation resulted in the discovery that the woman had suspected cocaine in her possession. Troopers arrested 42-year-old Kristyn Hansen from Chesapeake, Virginia and lodged her in the Delta County Jail for possession of cocaine.
On 01/05/2025 at approximately 1:40 a.m., troopers made a traffic stop of a vehicle on South 5th Street near 2nd Avenue South in Escanaba for a traffic violation. Subsequent investigation resulted in the troopers locating suspected methamphetamine. Troopers arrested the vehicle passenger, 37-year-old David Wencl from Powers, Michigan, for possession of methamphetamine and lodged him in the Delta County Jail.
All three subjects have been arraigned on their respective charges.
- Verbrigghe received a $500 bond and is expected back in court on January 23, 2025.
- Hansen received a $750 bond and is expected back in court on January 23, 2025.
- Wencl received a $1,000 bond and is expected back in court on January 23, 2025.
