Bay College, in partnership with the Marquette Symphony Orchestra, is thrilled to present JIJI Guitar live in concert on Monday, October 7 at 7:00pm ET in the Besse Theater on the Escanaba Bay College Campus. Doors will open at 6:30pm.
Praised by The Washington Post for her “mesmerizing” and “stirring” performances, JIJI has captivated audiences worldwide with her virtuosic command of both acoustic and electric guitar. Her performance at Bay College will showcase a diverse repertoire, from classical masterpieces to free improvisation, making for an unforgettable evening of music.
In addition to her global concert tours, JIJI has premiered works by many of today’s leading composers and collaborated with renowned orchestras and ensembles. Her performance in Escanaba is a rare opportunity to experience her innovative approach to guitar and see firsthand why she’s been called “one of the 21 composers/performers who sound like tomorrow.”
