The City of Escanaba is announcing the temporary closure of North 30th Street at the CN rail tracks to all traffic for one full week to allow for essential maintenance and upgrades. CN Railroad will be repairing the railroad tracks to ensure the safety and efficiency of the railway infrastructure.
Closure Details:
• Closure Start Date: Monday, September 16th at 7:00 AM EST
• Reopening Date: Friday September 20th at 5:00 PM EST

o North 30th Street
o 16th Avenue North from North 30th Street going east to North 26th Street
Impact on Traffic:
During this period, all vehicular traffic will be prohibited from accessing these sections of North 30th Street and 16th Avenue North. The city encourages residents and commuters to plan alternative routes in advance to avoid delays.
Detours and Alternative Routes: CN Railroad’s alternative detour route will be used from Danforth Road to North Lincoln Road. CN Railroad will provide signage to guide drivers through alternate routes. Emergency services, public transportation, and local businesses have been notified to ensure minimal disruption.
