A major artery leading northwest out of Escanaba is scheduled to be closed nest week.
The Delta County Road Commission says Danforth Road will be shut down from Tuesday (9/3) through Saturday (9/7) for rail crossing work.
The county says this is a project of Canadian National Railroad and county road crews are not involved.
The nearby North 30th Street, commonly used as a bypass of the City of Escanaba for travelers heading to Gladstone from the west, was scheduled to be closed this week for the same reason.
Also, County Road 533 (also known as “I Rd”) in Hyde will be closed at some point as a part of this CN project.
