Bay College’s Iron Mountain Campus will continue with its Leadership Academy for the seventh consecutive year.
This nine-month program is set to kick-off on September 12, 2024 and will run through May 2025. The program is geared towards bringing together emerging leaders to develop meaningful skills, grow a professional network, and become more aware of the local community.
The training is composed of eight 3-hour workshops running monthly with topics to include personal mastery, emotional intelligence, the value of doing, interpersonal communications, external communications, difficult conversations, writing skills, and servant leadership. Each meeting will feature a networking lunch and a presentation on Dickinson County. In addition, participants will receive two books on leadership, a professional headshot, and a 20-page DiSC report. The total cost of the program is $1,400 per person.
“We are proud to be offering this training initiative for the seventh year in Iron Mountain,” shares Cindy Gallagher, Vice President of Workforce Innovation and Strategic Partnerships. “We’ve not only curated a program that continues to fill year over year, but we’ve also tapped into the invaluable expertise of local leaders. Their insights make the program successful.”
Local presenters include Mark Klossner, Vice President of Marketing for BOSS Snowplow; John Jamar, President and CEO at CCI Systems; Larry Smith, President of Smith Metal Structures; Bridget Kennedy, Sr. Director of Human Resources of Autoscribe Corporation, among other impressive speakers.
