Student Council leaders at Beecher-Dunbar-Pembine High School completed a Penny Drive in October to raise money for the Future Fund children’s saving account program established by the M&M Area Community Foundation. Their effort raised $670.17.
“The Foundation does so much for our community that we wanted to support your program,” stated Colette Gilbert, Student Council Vice President.
Starting with the 2019 – 2020 school year, kindergarten students across Marinette and Menominee Counties have a $50 deposit-only savings account started for them by the M&M Area Community Foundation. Then, each year until graduation the Foundation adds more money to each student’s account. Savings accounts may be used for any post-secondary education or training upon graduation from high school.
Donations to the Future Fund may be made online at www.mmacf.org. Checks may be mailed to the Foundation’s office at 1110 10th Avenue, Suite L-1, Menominee, MI 49858.
