Communities that Care (CTC) and Healthy Youth Coalition (HYC) of Marinette and Menominee Counties held its third annual Kids Ice Fishing Derby on Saturday, February 11th at Red Arrow Park. A total of eight Rainbow Trout were weighed in.
Winner results of the 0-7 age bracket are as follows:
Ella Olson won in the Game Fish category for “Heaviest Fish” with a 1.43lb Rainbow Trout, which also crowned her as the winner in the “Most Fish” category to break a four-way tie of one Rainbow trout each among Maple Bayer, Ben Marklein, and Maxwell Vieth.
Winner results of the 8-14 age bracket are as follows; Anna Ferdon won in the Game Fish category with a 1.20lb Rainbow Trout for “Heaviest Fish”, while Cole Grabowski took home a trophy in the “Most Fish” category with two Rainbow Trout weighed in.
