A Marinette County Sheriff’s Deputy was involved in a shooting incident on Friday in the Town of Amberg.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice says it started with a domestic dispute at about 11:00 in the morning.
When deputies tried to contact the suspect in the case, the suspect drove away. Officers followed him, and after a short distance, he left the vehicle and pulled a gun on police. A Marinette County Sheriff’s Deputy shot the suspect, and he later died at the hospital. The unidentified deputy has been placed on administrative leave.
