Two people are dead after an incident at a home in Goodman, Wis., just south of the Upper Peninsula border Friday evenining. The Wisconsin Department of Justice says that Marinette County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a home there at 5:00 on Friday for the report of a possible homicide.
When police arrived, one man was found dead in that home. Deputies followed the suspect as he drove away from the home, and they say that the suspect stopped the vehicle, got out, and pointed a gun at police. That’s when the suspect was shot by law enforcement, and that person died from his injuries.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice handles all officer-involved shootings, and the Marinette County Sheriff’s staff involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave, No names have been released.
