An investigation is underway after a body was found in a dumpster in Iron Mountain this morning.
Local Three News reports that the Iron Mountain Police Department was dispatched to the Goodwill store in reference to a deceased person that was located at 8:55 a.m. in a dumpster behind the building.
At this time, a death investigation is being conducted by the Iron Mountain Police Department and officers are working on notifying the next of kin.
Foul play is not suspect at time.
The Iron Mountain Police Department was assisted on scene by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department, Kingsford Public Safety, as well as an evidence technician from the Michigan State Police.
No further information will be released in reference to the incident at this time.
