Governor Rick Snyder has appointed a Marquette man to the Mackinac Bridge Authority.
Brad Canale of Marquette is CEO of the Northern Michigan University Foundation.
He previously served as executive director of advancement for the University of Michigan College of Engineering and is a former member of the Natural Resources Trust Fund Board of Directors. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan and will represent Republicans and fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Barbara Arens.
Canale will serve the remainder of a six-year term expiring June 30, 2020. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
