Helen Newberry Joy Hospital has announced the appointment of Wendy Rautio, MBA as the hospital’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Rautio is replacing Hunter Nostrant as CFO, who is currently serving as Chief Executive Officer.
“We are excited to have Wendy join the Helen Newberry Joy Hospital team,” said Hunter Nostrant, CEO of HNJH. “As a healthcare executive with decades of experience, her skills and expertise will be a valuable addition as we continue serving the needs of our communities. As a UP native, she has an appreciation for our area and we welcome her to HNJH.”
Wendy Rautio brings over twenty years of experience in the healthcare industry, most recently as CFO for Munising Memorial Hospital, an 11-bed Critical Access Hospital (CAH). In her time as CFO, Rautio also functioned as the controller and revenue cycle manager responsible for all financial reporting for the facility.
Before coming to HNJH, she also held positions as Controller for the Upper Great Lakes Family Health Center in Gwinn and Chief Financial Manager for the Upper Peninsula Association of Rural Health Services in Marquette. Wendy earned a Bachelor of Science in business and a Master of Business Administration from Northern Michigan University.
Wendy has been married to her husband Mike for 21 years and has two children.
