Walmart of Escanaba donated funds to the Catherine Bonifas Civic Center’s After School Program from their Spark Good Local Grant.
The Spark Good Local Grant is Walmart’s new platform for grant funding in which they distribute funds throughout the community.
Recreation Director Kim Peterson stated, “We are extremely grateful to Walmart for their support as the program continues to grow. The funds certainly help us with maintaining great service even when prices continue to rise.”
The After School Program is for students in 4th to 12th grades to come to the Catherine Bonifas Civic Center at no cost and enjoy the amenities of the gameroom, gym, laptops, books, meals, hygiene items and school supplies. The After School Program operates Monday to Friday 2:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. and Saturday 12:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. The facility is a safe, supervised environment.
