Congratulations to Nick DuPont, Bay College’s Quarterly (December 2024 – February 2025) TORCH Award Recipient.
Nick joined Bay College as a full-time Welding Instructor in November of 2021.
Nick has been nominated by his colleagues for being dedicated to the mission of Bay College.
“Nick is the type of person who does what’s right. He cares about the quality of the student experience and he’s willing to do what it takes to help the team succeed – even when it’s not in his job description. Our students, our community, and our Bay team benefit from his work ethic and genuine belief in student potential.”
“Nick has two qualities that make an excellent instructor: he’s an expert in his field and he wants to mentor other people who share his interests. This combination inspires students to believe in themselves and chase the possibilities. Nick invests in his students by offering extra lab time, meeting with them before and after class, and holding them to a high standard.”
“I appreciate how much time and effort Nick has invested in the Iron Mountain Welding students, including helping to set up the new lab.”
