On Tuesday, Michigan Technological University’s Center for Educational Outreach, in collaboration with UP Michigan Works!, the MiSTEM Network, and local businesses, will welcome up to 800 middle school students from across the Western Upper Peninsula to experience the OneUP Mind Trekkers Copper Trail Festival.
This event will offer hands-on STEM demonstrations designed to spark curiosity and showcase career opportunities in STEM fields.
Students will have the chance to engage in exciting experiments like standing inside a bubble, skewering a balloon without popping it and playing a piano made of bananas, all while exploring potential career paths and learning how science shapes the future workforce.
