Marquette County has a new undersheriff.Sheriff Greg Zyburt announced that Captain Lowell Larson will become the new undersheriff after serving in various roles since 1999.
Larson has served for six years as a detective and seven years in the Corrections Division, before most recently working as the Captain of the Public Safety Division, which oversees the county’s road patrol.
Larson has also spent ten years as a search and rescue volunteer, as well as working as a medical examiner investigator, field training officer, and several other instructor positions.Larson will succeed for undersheriff Dan Willey, who passed away last month.
“Captain Larson brings extensive knowledge of all department operations,” Zyburt said in a statement. “I am confident he will continue to provide remarkable service to the citizens of Marquette County in his new role.”
