A section of Forest Service Road (FSR) 3458, also known as Burma North, will be temporarily closed from May 28th to August 20th, 2024.
The Carp River Bridge on Burma North Road, approximately 20 miles northwest of St. Ignace, will be replaced, making the road impassible.
For the safety of work crews and the public, a section of the road about a mile in length will be closed between FSR 3332 to the north and FSR 3479 to the south for the duration of the project.
During this time, the public is asked to find alternate routes while traveling in the area.
A map showing the location of the project and closure is available at the end of this news release, on the Forest website, and on the Forest’s social media accounts.
