Escanaba Public Library announces its Winter Reading Challenge, open to adults and teens beginning on February 5 through March 16, 2024. Participants can pick up a reading log to record six book titles and authors they have read between February 5th and March 16th.
When participants complete their reading log, they return it to the circulation desk at the library and pick-up their prize. Prizes will be awarded beginning February 12th and only one entry per person while supplies last. This year’s prizes will be a special hot drink mug created and generously donated by well-known local artist and potter, Al Hansen.
“The challenge is simple,” says Monique Ciofu, “read six books that interest you, fiction, or non-fiction, and record them on the reading log. Once you have completed the reading log you are eligible for a prize.”
For those readers who need suggestions for what to read next, library staffers are always happy to recommend a book title or author or refer patrons to online resources like Novelist for recommendations. Any format book including e-books, audiobooks, large print, or a CD book can be used for the reading challenge. The program is possible with the generous support of the Friends of the Escanaba Public Library. The Escanaba Public Library is located at 400 Ludington Street in downtown Escanaba.
