The new Delta Force Class of 2024 will soon be starting a new session, and we are extending the deadline to offer this awesome opportunity to more Delta County members. So far, our list of students is impressive, but we would like to make sure everyone who would like to have the opportunity to join this great program in 2024 has the time they need to apply.
Therefore, we are extending the deadline to apply for Delta Force to Friday, Feb. 9.
Please visit deltami.org to apply. In the coming year, the Delta Force students will embark on their journey of learning about the inner workings of their local economy, including its global reach from area manufacturers.
The Delta Force year kicks off with its first class on Thursday, Feb. 29, with Leadership Day.
During this session, students will learn new leadership skills from the dynamic owners of BDD Training Associates, Steve Buckbee, Dan Doyle and Michael Dupont. Students will also take the DiSC Assessment from Coaching for Results owner/facilitator Sue Roll, after which they will learn their own specific behavioral styles and how to better utilize their own traits to their advantage in a business setting.
Throughout the coming year, Delta Force students will learn from area business owners and entrepreneurs, community and healthcare leaders, along with law enforcement, government and education officials, members of the media, and environmental experts about the inner workings of our local economy.
Students will also enjoy complimentary breakfast and lunch during each session, thanks to the generosity of the sponsoring businesses and organizations. One of the underlying themes in the Delta Force sessions focuses on the importance of service in helping develop the economy, and how each student can get involved in growing and revitalizing their community.
They will also learn about the challenges and rewards that local business and community leaders face on a daily basis in running their businesses and organizations.
The Delta Force 2024 Session will culminate with a special graduation celebration recognizing graduates from this tremendous leadership program on October 10 at the Island Resort and Casino for the Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner. Each graduate and a guest will receive a complimentary ticket for the Annual Dinner.
Created and sponsored by the Delta County Chamber of Commerce, which currently serves nearly 700 members, Delta Force encompasses a series of ten full-day sessions covering areas such as media and communications, education, leadership, health and community services, law and order, government, and other segments. Sessions are designed to be highly interactive and thought-provoking. Victoria LaFave is with the Delta County Chamber of Commerce.
