Smash Mouth, a power pop alternative rock band, will take the stage at the Island Resort & Casino on April 19 and 20, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. ET both nights.
Tickets are $38 and go on-sale Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. ET.
Smash Mouth 2023 boasts the continuing solidified lineup featuring Randy Cooke (drums, vocals), Paul DeLisle (bass, vocals), Zach Goode (lead vocals), Sean Hurwitz (guitar, vocals), and Michael “Hippy” Klooster (keyboards, vocals). All five of these seasoned veterans are widely regarded as world-class players and performers.
Smash Mouth was a band determined to make an impact from the get-go.
Formed in late 1994, the band immediately begins recording demos and showcasing in both San Jose and Hollywood. In June of 1997, Smash Mouth is signed to Interscope Records when label brass catch wind of an unknown (and unsigned) band being added to monumentally influential L.A. radio station KROQ’s playlist after only one spin of their song “Walkin’ On the Sun”.
Smash mouth’s major-label debut “Fush Yu Mang” goes more than DOUBLE PLATINUM and sets the table for what most consider their masterpiece – the brilliant follow-up album
“Astrolounge” (1999). It contained three top-ten hits (All-Star, Then the Morning Comes, Can’t Get Enough Of You Baby), and its sales nearly double those for “Fush Yu Mang,” approaching QUADRUPLE PLATINUM status.
But no matter what they do, Smash Mouth will always be universally acknowledged as “The Shrek Band”. Because “Shrek” is this century’s “Wizard of Oz”.
