There were some anxious moments on the Bay College campus late Tuesday night after Escanaba Public Safety was called about someonewear8ing a mask and knocking on doors at the dorms. Officers arrived on campus at about 11 p.m., and started to search for the suspect, and they worked with Bay officials to look at video footage from the area. It turned out that three students were wearing Halloween masks and one had a plastic machette. They were pranking other students, and there were no weapons involved.
This happened about eleven hours after campus buildings were evacuated and police arrived after Bay’s emergency notification system accidentally went off, sending text messages to hundreds of people. The “All Clear” was given a short time later. There were no injuries in either incident.
