The Northern Michigan University Center for Rural Health will present a virtual town hall program that focuses on project updates regarding regional behavioral/mental health efforts. The event is scheduled from 7-8 p.m. EST Thursday, May 25th.
Guest panelists include Tyler LaPlaunt, assistant director at U.P. Health Care Solutions; Greg Nyen, MARESA superintendent; Darren Kinnunen, principal at Horizons Alternative High School; and Jim LaJoie, executive director at Superior Health Foundation.
The event is part of the U.P. Community Health Town Hall webinar series hosted by Elise Bur, director of the NMU Center for Rural Health, in partnership with professors Steven Elmer and Kelly Kamm of Michigan Technological University’s department of kinesiology and integrative physiology. It provides a platform for the public to engage with a diverse panel of subject-matter experts about emerging health issues, health statistics, current initiatives and best practices.
The U.P. Community Health Town Hall takes place the last Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. EST. It can be accessed at https://bit.ly/UPhealthtownhall. The passcode is 739576.
