The Michigan Community Service Commission, in partnership with Youth Service America, will support youth engaging in volunteerism as part of Global Youth Service Day, April 29-May 1.
The Michigan Community Service Commission is supporting 28 Michigan organizations to engage nearly 4,000 youth in service. Global Youth Service Day project volunteers will conduct community clean-ups, plant gardens and meet other community needs.
“As Global Volunteer Month comes to a close, we encourage youth and all Michiganders to participate in some form of service to help others,” said Michigan Community Service Commission Executive Director Ginna Holmes. “In having youth learn the power of volunteerism, it can foster a lifelong passion of making a difference and strengthening communities – making our state more resilient.”
