A traffic crash in Marquette County Tuesday night is being blames on the driver huffing nitrous oxide while at the wheel.
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Department says the accident on US-41 in Negaunee Township happened at around 5:00. The 32-year-old driver passed out and lost control of the vehicle, crossed the median, hit a street sign, and then after he woke up, he swerved back into the median.
He and a 27-year-old woman had to be removed with the jaws of life. And there was a ten-year-old girl and eight-year-old boy in the back seat. Deputies say the injuries for all were not life-threatening. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs. The crash remains under investigation.
