Crivitz Rescue Squad, Inc. is pleased to announce its partnership with M&M Area Community Foundation (MMACF) and has been awarded a $7,000 grant from the Impact Fund for COVID-19 Relief. The Board of Directors of the Community Foundation established this fund in March to help nonprofits whose resources have been strained by the coronavirus. The Foundation seeded the Impact Fund with $25,000. Additional donations were made to the fund by community members throughout Marinette and Menominee Counties.
Crivitz Rescue Squad, Inc. (CRS) will use this grant to make up for the loss of very important fundraising opportunities, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a nonprofit organization, CRS relies greatly on the generosity of the community for financial support.
Brenda Sutton NREMT, says, “This year we were hit with COVID-19. This has taken a lot away from us all, but it has given us more. It has instilled much fear across the country. However, it has also given us a chance to see the greater good in people coming together to help the ones who have lost something. We lost our opportunity to do our Annual Bike Run! This is something we all look forward to. Friends coming together to support an amazing cause and that was stripped from us this year. It was incredibly hard to pull the plug on our event that is so highly anticipated each year. The Bike Run isn’t just a fundraiser. It is a fun brotherhood between our Squad and all who take part in it.”
