On 4/16/20, at 4:08 pm, Escanaba Public Safety responded to 729 South 16th St. for the report of smoke and flames coming out of the house. Upon arrival there was a small amount of smoke and flames at the front of the house.
Officers were able to extinguish the fire after a short time. Officers remained on the scene to be sure the fire was completely extinguished. The residence received some damage from the fire. There were no injuries reported.
The fire is under investigation at this time and the cause is unknown.
