Holy Name Catholic School will re-schedule its annual Spring Fling Fundraising Dinner for the end of August or beginning of September (a decision will be made once school is back in session), due to the COVID-19 virus outbreak. (The event was formerly scheduled for April 18.) Due to rescheduling in the fall, the event will be called “Back to School Bash”.
On April 18th, Holy Name School staff will still pick the winners of the cash and Dinero & Destination Raffles, so people are encouraged to mail their tickets in to Holy Name at 409 So. 22nd Street, Escanaba, MI 49829.
Spring Fling will still be held in the Holy Name Catholic School Gymnasium, starting at 4:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
Registration, silent auction, games, 50/50 and bucket raffles begin at 4:30 p.m. with dinner being served at 6 p.m. and a live auction starting at 7:45 p.m. Live entertainment will be provided by Jam Band starting at 9 p.m. in the school multi-purpose room. Late night food choices, including pizza and hamburgers, will also be served.
Tickets for the dinner are $40 each. They are available for purchase online at www.holynamecrusaders.com. A table for eight people can be reserved for $400, which includes business or name recognition, priority seating and eating, bottle of red and white wine, Holy Name souvenir, and a chance to win a “Name a Holy Name Locker”—valued at $200.
Each ticket includes a delicious buffet dinner (with entrées of roast beef and roast pork, along with many side dishes and desserts), soda (alcoholic drink tickets can be purchased separately), and fellowship with family and friends. The theme of the evening will be “Kentucky Derby.”
The money raised at this event will help families in need of tuition assistance and also helps with other projects at the school that benefit current and future students.
