Krystal Mary White, 33, of Escanaba was sentenced to 23 months to 5 years in prison.
White was sentenced following the entry of a guilty plea to Attempted Delivery/Manufacture of Methamphetamine.
On July 19, 2018 Escanaba Department of Public Safety officers were dispatched to 210 South 9th Street in the city of Escanaba for an unresponsive person.
In the course of the investigation, detectives discovered that White, the resident of the address, and Kenneth Lauscher had traveled to Walmart in the city of Escanaba prior to the 911 call. White and Lauscher transferred $200 to Travis Halase for the purchase of methamphetamine. In a subsequent interview, Lauscher and White both admitted that they intended the money for the purchase of methamphetamine and that they received a portion of the methamphetamine from Halase on July 19, 2018.
Halase was recently sentenced to 24 months in prison for Possession of Methamphetamine when he was arrested on a traffic stop on July 201, 2018.
Lauscher has entered a guilty plea to Delivery/Manufacture of Methamphetamine from his involvement in the purchase on July 19, 2018. Lauscher is scheduled for sentencing on October 14, 2019.
White is currently serving multiple prison sentences including: 23 months to 48 months in prison for Maintaining a Drug House, Possession of Suboxone, and Possession of Klonopin; and 34 months to 15 years for Prisoner Possessing Contraband.
