According to the Forsyth Township Police Department, a group of volunteers in the search of 48-year-old Dan McLaughlin found a body in the Escanaba River around 3:35 p.m. today, June 5.
Local Three News reports that the body was confirmed to be the body was McLaughlin.
McLaughlin’s body was located two miles away from his camp.
No foul play is suspected but will be determined following an autopsy.
The Forsyth Township Police Department would like to thank all of the volunteers, law enforcement and emergency agencies and area businesses for the help in the search.

The Forsyth Township Police Department is searching for a missing person on County Rd. EEH near the Escanaba River in Forsyth Township.
Dan McLaughlin, 48 years old, was last seen at his camp on County Road EHH on Monday, June 3rd at approximately 4:15 p.m.
Mclaughlin is a Type-One diabetic, and his family says he has been separated from his insulin pump.
