Bankrupt retailer ShopKo is closing six Upper Peninsula stores.
The Green Bay-based retailer had announced its bankruptcy restructuring on January 16th, and announced that a number of its pharmacies were either being sold or closed. Now, a long list of store closures has been released.
Included on the list are stores in Escanaba, Marquette, Munising, Houghton, Calumet, and L’Anse. A store just across the border in Marinette, Wis., is also on the list.
The Escanaba, Marquette, Calumet, and Marinette stores are scheduled to close on May 12th.
The Houghton and L’Anse stores will close on May 5th. The Munising store is scheduled to shut down on April 7.
