The M-28 bridge over Jackson Creek east of Wakefield is now open to traffic.
The roadway had been detoured since late May for a Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) project to remove and replace the bridge.
The re-opening had been delayed by a labor dispute, weather, and other issues.
It was a 33-mile-long detour. But again, as of this morning, M-28 has re-opened in the western U-P.
