A historic Schoolcraft County hotel burned to the ground Thursday.
The Blaney Lodge caught fire just before three Thursday afternoon and was quickly engulfed in flames.
The blaze shut down M-77 for most of the day. There’s no word on a cause or if anyone was hurt. The hotel was built in 1895 and in recent years was operated as a bed and breakfast. The fire was still smoldering Friday afternoon, as these photos show.
