Dickinson County Healthcare System (“DCHS”) has retained former Congressman Bart Stupak and restructuring partner Andrew Currie from the Washington DC-based law firm of Venable LLP to represent it in its financial restructuring efforts.
The focus of these efforts will be to negotiate an out-of-court work-out with DCHS’s various creditor constituencies.
During these restructuring efforts, DCHS will continue to provide a full range of robust health services to serve the community. A bankruptcy filing is not being considered at this point.
The goal of the restructuring efforts will be to maximize performance operationally and financially and to work with DCHS’s creditors for a lasting solution to the system’s financial challenges. DCHS looks forward to working with its various stakeholders – staff, professionals, patients and creditors – to grow and to continue to provide our community with the best quality health care services possible.
