The sixth annual Baraga Avenue Harvest Fest will take place on Saturday, October 6, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the 100 block of West Baraga Avenue between Front Street and Third Street.
Events for all ages will take place throughout the festival, including a petting zoo, Paint Baraga Avenue Chalk Painting Contest, local vendors, a pasty eating contest, carousel, children’s activities and more! Music will be provided by Troy Graham at 3:00 p.m. and Conga Se Menne at 5:30. The annual pasty eating contest, sponsored by Jean Kays Pasties, will take place at 4:45.
A wide variety of food vendors and food trucks from the local area will be on hand.
“This is a wonderful, family friendly festival celebrating autumn in Downtown Marquette,” said Tara Laase-McKinney, Promotions and Events Coordinator for the Marquette Downtown Development Authority. “There’s something here for everyone, and Baraga Avenue is such a wonderful backdrop for this event.”
This year’s events are sponsored by Meijer, with additional support from with Double Trouble Entertainment, Jean Kay’s Pasties & Subs, the Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum, and the Marquette Downtown Development Authority.
