A fire truck Static Display is scheduled as part of Fire Prevention Week in Marquette.
It is set for Saturday, October 6th (rain date: October 13th) at Harlow Park on Bluff & Washington.
The Static Display starts at 11:00AM. A parade on Washington St. from Seventh to McClellan will go at 12:30PM.
The event will feature Fire Trucks, Rescue Vehicles, Activities, Sparky the Dog, Refreshments, and a Bike Raffle!
Annually, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) declares one week in the month of October, as “Fire Prevention Week”. Fire Prevention Week targets school aged children and was established to improve awareness and teach children the importance of fire safety. The Marquette City Fire Department has always endorsed Fire Prevention Week and has promoted participation in local schools.
