Michigan State Police troopers from the Negaunee post were dispatched to a two-vehicle car crash on M-94 near Kannisto Road in Alger County’s Rock River Township Tuesday afternoon.
Upon investigation, police determined 54-year-old Scott Schappe of Skandia pulled out onto M-94 from Kannisto Road into the path of 45-year-old Christopher Koren of Marquette, who was traveling east bound.
Schappe was driving a 1998 Subaru Impreza and Koren was driving a 2013 Toyota Tacoma.
Schappe was transported to UP Health Systems-Marquette via the Alger County Ambulance and issued a citation for Failing to Yield. Koren was uninjured.
