On 9-21-18, at about 12:30am, Deputies with the Delta County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to M-35 near the county line in Ford River Twp for a semi vs car crash.
The car, driven by 27 year old Brooke Bowden of Escanaba, was turning into a driveway off M-35 when it was struck in the driver’s side by the semi traveling same direction, driven by 64 year old William Debroux of Green Bay. Bowden had to be removed with the Jaws of Life. She was transported to OSF by Rampart and then to UP Health Systems Marquette.
The passengers in the car, 29 year old Chelse Pepin of Bark River and 25 year old Alyssa Guindon of Escanaba were also transported to OSF. Guindon was then transferred to UP Health Systems Marquette.
Both Guindon and Bowden were in critical condition. Debroux was uninjured. Crash re-constructionists with the Michigan State Police were called to process the scene.
The crash remains under investigation. Deputies were assisted by the Michigan State Police, Escanaba Public Safety, Menominee County Sheriff’s Office, Ford River Fire and EMS, Rampart, and Gene’s Towing.
