Gretchen Whitmer and Bill Schuette will appear in two gubernatorial debates in October, representatives for the campaigns announced today.
Schuette and Whitmer’s campaigns officially completed negotiations today after several weeks of productive talks.
The debates are as follows:

October 12
Grand Rapids
WOOD studios
Moderator: Rick Albin
7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Debate 2
October 24
Detroit
WDIV studios
Moderators: Kimberly Gill and Devin Scillian
8:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Both events feature moderated debates with questions determined by the moderators and include opening and closing statements. Both debates will be televised live by the sponsoring stations, streamed online, and are expected to be simulcast in most parts of the state on other television stations.
