On September 13, 2018, detectives assigned to the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET) and deputies from the Delta County Sheriff’s Department arrested a 38 year old Bark River man as part of a methamphetamine manufacturing investigation.
Detectives arrested the suspect near a residence located on 17th Rd in Bark River Township. At the time of contact, the suspect possessed prescription pills, methamphetamine, a needle, and other items associated with meth production.
Further investigation led detectives to a rural wooded area in Bark River Township where lab components, chemicals, tools, and containers were found and seized. UPSET detectives were assisted at the scene by the Delta County Sheriff’s Department.
The suspect was lodged in the Delta County Jail on numerous drug related charges and is awaiting arraignment. The investigation continues and additional arrests are anticipated.
