A Crivitz man died in a traffic crash early Monday morning in Marinette County, Wisconsin.
Sheriffs Deputies were called at about 3 a.m. to the Town of Porterfield where a vehicle crashed on State Highway 180. Deputies say it went onto the shoulder, veered left, and then went across the highway, crashing into some trees.
The driver has been identified only as a white man in his mid-20’s. Alcohol and speed are believed to have been factors in the crash.
The Marinette County Coroner pronounced the victim dead on the scene and it remains under investigation.
The Marinette County Coroner, Porterfield Fire Department, Marinette Emergency Rescue, and Bay Area Medical Paramedics assisted at the scene.
This is the sixth traffic fatality in Marinette County in 2018.
