Northern Airways, a division of Kubick Aviation Services located in Iron Mountain, Michigan, announces the introduction of same-day air service shuttle from the Upper Peninsula to Lansing, Michigan beginning in September 2018.
This air shuttle was developed by Northern Airways in response to a strong demand indicated by business and industry professionals in a recent survey.
“We saw a gap and we addressed it”, says Chad Kubick, president of Kubick Aviation Services. “Our vision for the air shuttle is to get customers to Lansing for a day of business, and then get them home – the same day. No one else is providing this.”
Those currently making the trek to Lansing from the Upper Peninsula have two travel options. One is to drive their vehicle countless hours. The other option is to fly commercial airlines.
“In both scenarios, there is a large consideration of time, money and lost productivity”, explains Kevin Leitz, Northern Airways’ Business Development Executive. “Driving and/or flying commercially to and from Lansing are two-day ventures requiring overnight stays, meals and there is very limited time to conduct business. Alternatively, our shuttle optimizes time allowing a traveler to do more of what the trip was intended to accomplish – business.”
Northern Airways Lansing Shuttle will cost $900 per seat. For the shuttle’s launch in September, Northern Airways is committing to one (1) round-trip flight every other week.
The flight itinerary departs from Iron Mountain’s Ford Airport with a pick up at Marquette’s Sawyer International Airport mornings of the shuttle’s flight. The flight provides customers 6+ hours to conduct their business in Lansing upon arrival, and returns them to the Upper Peninsula in time for dinner with their families.
“We’re excited to bring a solution to an identified need in our region”, says Kubick. “With greater demand from our customers, we’ll certainly grow the frequency of shuttle flights. If your business values time, we feel our service was designed with you specifically in mind.”
