Voters in Michigan will get to decide who is responsible for drawing the lines of congressional and legislative districts.
The Michigan Supreme Court late Tuesday night ruled the so-called Voters Not Politicians proposal will be on the November ballot. Backers want district boundaries to be drawn by a 13-member commission of four Democrats, four Republicans and five independents—with the secretary of state picking the members. The boundaries are currently drawn by state lawmakers.
