A 28-year-old Calumet man has been charged in a distracted driving accident that seriously injured a woman motorcycle rider back on July seventh.
Local Three News reports the as-yet unidentified man was picked up Thursday and released on bond. State Police say the suspect was distracted by his cellphone when he swerved to avoid a stopped vehicle on U-S 41 near Golf Course Road. His vehicle hit the motorcycle head on. State Police describe the woman’s injuries as serious and life threatening.
