Forsyth Township Police received a complaint on Monday from a woman who said that her credit card had been stolen and was being used in the Marquette area without her permission.
The victim was able to provide a name of a possible suspect who had access to her home.
Police went to various local merchants and were able to obtain receipts and corresponding in-store videos showing the transactions in question while confirming the suspect was the one identified by the victim.
Forsyth Police located the suspect later in the day and lodged her at the Marquette County Jail without incident.
The suspect is:
Cassandra Ann Hurrell, 29, of Gwinn
The charges are:
COUNT 1 – Breaking and Entering – Entry Without Breaking With intent, a 5 year felony
CONUT 2 – Financial Transaction Device – Stealing/Retaining Without Consent, a 4 year felony
The investigation determined that Hurrell allegedly charged over $2,500 on the victim’s credit card.
Hurell is being held at the Marquette County Jail.
